WHO WE ARE

Sort and Pack Celebrates 25 Years in Business

Sort and Pack, Inc. Fulfillment Solutions

A Loyal Partner in Business for Over 20 Years

Why we’re a good fit for your fulfillment needs:

Sort and Pack offers labor-intensive, hand-assembly projects for a variety of businesses and industries, from retail to cosmetics and from apparel to printing and marketing. Based in Columbus, Ohio, our fulfillment company has offered creative solutions to fulfillment, distribution and warehousing challenges for over 20 years.

J. Reneé Claxton founded Sort and Pack in 1996 after working overseas as a production coordinator for The Limited. She saw a need in the United States for inspection, quality control and redistribution of garments.

However, her idea was a tough sell for financial backers who were not convinced it to be a cogent business model. Using personal finances and help from friends and family, Reneé proved naysayers wrong. Within three years, Sort and Pack grew to a staff of 25 and we moved operations from a cramped facility to a new 10,000 square-foot distribution center. The company also quickly expanded to include liquidating the rejected merchandise from the factories.

Today, we have a 40,000-square-foot warehouse space that is protected by a monitored security system at all points of entry, along with comprehensive insurance for your merchandise while in our possession. Our unique facility offers flexibility for your fulfillment needs.

Overseas production experience planted roots in Columbus, Ohio

Reneé holds degrees from the Fashion Institute of Technology and Georgia State University. Her extensive experience in wholesale and retail industries includes working with such big brands as The Limited and Liz Clairborne.

While other companies offered similar services, they didn’t have Reneé’s training, education and experience to better service retailers. Reneé is involved with every aspect of Sort and Pack — from client meetings to working on the floors with associates. She ensures every job is completed on time and with accuracy.

The success of Sort and Pack hinges on the ability to meet the competitive demands of the marketplace. Reneé’s passion and industry knowledge has allowed her to cultivate significant international relationships, and positioned Sort and Pack as a go-to source for all fulfillment needs, including reticketing and repackaging for the retail industry — including The Limited, Eddie Bauer and Build A Bear Workshop. Internally, Reneé has fostered a culture of trust and loyalty among her employees, many of whom have worked for her for 10-12 years.

In 2006, Reneé purchased 10 acres and built Sort and Pack’s 40,000 square-foot facility in Columbus with a vision for future expansion. The company officially moved into the new facility in 2008, later adding its retail store, Catch of the Day Wholesale Liquidators LLC. There is enough land for future expansion, and the area is geographically positioned for growth.
